So not a hunt but a lethal removal

I may have to put in for that!   Being part of the ONP Goat hunt might help my odds!

‘In hunting, the animal is destroyed for recreational purposes’. Nothing like trying to paint the most negative picture of hunters out of this...surprised they’re removing so many

I cannot tell if people are supposed to apply as a team, or hunters apply independently and then recruit meat hauler volunteers?

Removal means you don't get to keep the meat its not a hunt where you keep it

The document states each removal team can keep the meat of one buffalo in total. Distributed at the end of the week.  At the discretion of the parks service (ie if you violate their rules in the removal process you get no meat).   The rest gets distributed to the tribes.

I don't think that's necessarily true.  It's at the discretion of AZFG.

I plan to call them and ask what the plan is on that.  If I'm allowed to keep meat, I'm totally applying.

Ouch

Going to be a lot of embracing the suck on that one.  Hopefully they're above the rim.
