Makes me feel like an old man when I dig up one in my camping stuff that expired two years ago.....
New ones expire in 2050.

I put some expired mayo on a sammich last week.
The side effects included a soar arm, low grade fever and I woke in the middle of the night several times in a cold sweat. After a couple days i was feeling back to 100%.
So, I would say the buildup in my immunity to expired food was worth the side effects.

I'd try it with no worries, let us know if you do.

It’s eggs so it will probably still be in the camping box for another 30 years.

I think I have some with 2019 dates also. It’s freeze dried so does it really expire? What could be wrong with it? I’ll probably keep it for the apocalypse.

Fats go rancid, even when freeze dried.
Protiens, especially clean protiens store well.

This first picture is a tin of biscuits, along with other survival supplies, left in a fallout shelter dating from 1962.
(These Biscuits tasted so Rancid, that even our Goats wouldn't eat them.)
The second picture is a view of food, sanitation and survival supplies issued by the U.S. Defense Department for stocking a 50-person public bomb fallout shelter during the Cold War.
I'll opt for an expired Mountain House any day.

Do you guys remember the MH eggs you had to mix with water, rest like normal but then you had to fry them up? Man, those were bad. You didn’t want to share a tent with that guy.
Last hunting trip I had canned chicken that expired 12 years ago. Tasted the same as any canned chicken.
