Weyerhaeuser St. Helens permit
« on: May 09, 2021, 08:49:31 AM »
Does anybody have any information on the St. Helens permit being divided into a north and south area (two separate permits)?? Heard a rumor that they will be doing this in 2022

Longview-St. Helens is the only one shown on their website.  Not split.

That would make a lot of sense. It's such a huge area as it is. Even split in half each individual area would still be as big or bigger than most, or maybe all, of the other permit areas.

Hope they keep it "status quo"! I see nothing wrong with getting more bang for your buck.

Good luck getting one..... I logged in at 7:00:01, had all my info submitted in 4 minutes then got told to contact the administrator due to an error. Took 20 minutes to get back to the purchase page and by that time, it said "Pending sold out". Soon after watching the "wheel of death" for another 10 minutes, it was declared sold out for all three permits. UNREAL.

About 4,000 permits went that fast. Wow; gettin as bad as Vail. It doesn't look like they're going away anytime soon, but I wish they'd go to a lottery or something other than the internet click derby

They actually didn't sell out that fast. It was a computer issue. Would be interesting to know how many are still unsold.

Email I got:

Longview St. Helens Permit Customers,

We experienced a system malfunction early in our sale of Longview St Helens permits this evening.  As a consequence, we are closing the sale process tonight while we resolve the issue. We will release the remaining permits on an upcoming date to be announced.  We know who was in the permit buy queue when the system failed and will be contacting you with instructions on how to complete your purchase over the next couple days.

Thank you for your patience while we work through this matter.
