Headed to Riffe lake!
« on: May 15, 2021, 06:21:37 AM »
Wife and I are going to try to get some silvers this morning. Hopefully tripods also. Want to run the boat a bit after servicing it and play with the new Garmin before we head up for shrimp next week.

She's a good artist and pretty creative. I love her little reminders!

Hopefully you're able to launch your boat.  Water was WAY down again.

Limits of nice fish in about an hour and a half. Couple doubles. Lots of self releases. Probably hooked over 20.
Pics. Later.

Was hoping to get some action shots but just didn't work out. About a 15" average.

Don't know why pics are posting sideways. Never had that issue before.

Boat launch is free until Memorial day. After that it's $10 on weekends, and free on weekdays. So far only one lane open and it's a long ways down so takes awhile to put in and retrieve.

I'm sure weekdays are much better and when they get enough water in the lake to open the other lane that will speed things up!

Is it just Riffe that has the worm issue, or other lakes as well?

Riffe was planted with a bunch of disease carrying cook agriculture fish that they were not allowed to pollute into Puget Sound.
They thought Riffe was the next best thing.

Huh? Why would you assume they were disease carrying fish?

I havent heard of it in other lakes but wouldnt be surprised. They dont affect the meat.

Because Cooke is in the salmonid disease introduction business.
They have fish farms on every continent on the planet.  Costs are much lower in other countries but they fight tooth and nail to keep farms where the Salmon live.  Less Salmon in the ocean gets people to buy their inferior product that has been shown to carry constant new versions of disease.
