CF Moto quads and side by sides?
« on: May 16, 2021, 12:09:35 PM »
Anyone have any experience with CF Moto quads and SxS’s?  It seems like they’re a new company with what seems like a good reputation that’s growing. I think they’re built by KTM but I’m not sure. We’re trying to settle on a family toy or toys and are going back and forth on a boat or a travel trailer or maybe a couple quads or a quad and a side by side maybe. The prices are reasonable on these things. Also I’m not sure we’d use these enough to justify them as I think it’s not legal to ride them everywhere. We wouldn’t use them at all aside from recreational use, hunting trips etc. We’ve got no use for them from a yard work standpoint or anything like that is what I mean.

Well I do know they are up and coming company.  That said they are not at same level performance or quality as the well known brands.  If Japanese are "A" USA are "B" quality I would rate CF as "C" level.  Not junk like a china brand but I wouldnt buy CF myself as it would not survive our use.  I would look at Honda recons for example or other entry level 250cc-450cc entry level Japanese brands for an economical tough reliable quad.  UTV?  4 seat quality for decent $ is you Pioneer, Teryx, Wolverine/rmax etc.  I love Teryx 4 seat but others great as well.  Kawa has 3 year honorable warranty.  UTV safer for all especially kids.  Family friendly with all 4 of ya and the picinic basket and poles!
MAGA!  Again..

CFmoto is China moto, they have an assembly plant in MN but its still all China.

I think they'd work fine for light use, just make sure you treat the gas and keep battery maintainers on them if you're not riding them much.

For us out here where we're on quads pretty much everyday its a hell no.

And personally I avoid China stuff.

It's about as far removed from KTM as you could get.

Hard no on the CF. Thanks.

I’m prefer a boat but only to use in the sound. The lakes around here are a giant pain in the butt.

If my wife wasn't the absolute worst seasick person I've ever seen I'd get a sound boat for sure!

She got seasick on that whale watching dinner tour.

She got seasick out of Homer halibut, but by gawd she was a trooper, the captain said he had respect for her sitcking it out with nadaone complaint.

Did you know you a person can get seasick while snorkeling?   Yup - she was chumming on a manta ray snorkeling excursion in Hawaii, barfing and swimming backwards away from it.   Nice thing was no other groups were closeby

The cool thing was she had 100's of needlefish grabbing bits of chum

I've been looking at American Landmaster L5 (Brim) for a SXS, all US made.

I have worked on a couple cf for friends solid heck no on those if you want a fair price great family and reliable can’t beat a teryx4.  Lots of other name brands but prices are way up , if you can’t get the use a lot of nice sound boats out there I have the 19.5 tide runner that was built in Tacoma  I use it all over the state , the sound and even at port when weather is nice
