None of the hunting brand clothing is made in the USA  :'(

Haven’t picked up any of forloh’s gear yet but am interested and hope they succeed.

Hopefully the quality has gotten better, it’s nice out of the package, but falls apart in no time.  I’ve sent a few things back from first lite.

I've purchased three sets of their boxer shorts. Guess I'm a slow learner. Each pair had the crotch blow out inside of two years. Mind you they only got worn during hunting season, never for day to day use. After the third pair started showing holes after the first season I got ahold of them. Explained my issue and reminded them that I have a lot of money in my closet with FL logo on them. They could have cared less.

Bought two sets of merino boxers last season from CamoFire for less than half the price and plenty happy with them so far. No holes in the crotch yet. I have had good luck with their shirts, pants and puffy's. But I'm starting to look at alternatives.

As a side note: We're going to pay a hefty price for purchasing items from China. It's difficult at best to find USA clothing or anything for that matter. Kinda insane that FL and others can charge those kinds of prices for stuff made in China (and elsewhere).

From my observations, First Lite is famous for crappy seams. I’ll continue getting my stuff elsewhere

I've had great luck with Firstlite and they've been very responsive.
I'm not a huge fan of merino except for socks...That might have something to do with it.
Firstlite fits much better than the Kuiu/Sitka/otherstatuslabels for those of us under 6' with stocky builds.

I like most all my first lite gear. Especially the merino base layers and Chamberlin puffy. But for pants and rain gear I am sticking with kuiu. Much better fit in the pants and the chugach rain gear has done be solid.

I've also had dang good luck with FL. I love their base/mid layers and their support has always been good to me. I had some Corrugate Guide pants (which are awesome pants by the way), that I felt like the coloring was "off" on them. They had another pair mailed out the next day and sent me a label to ship the others back.

If you want US made look into Beyond gear...I mostly wear solids anyway and am slowly adding Beyond gear to my arsenal. Will see how it holds up.

Heck by fall I may be doing a huge kuiu gear dump sale :chuckle:

I still need rain gear and those are very high on my list if not #1

I'm hoping to shrink out of this gear in a year or so and need all new (smaller) gear :D

Everything in that pic above is XL size, and I fill it.  😕

First lite corrugate pants have been the best fit I've found for a short, stocky guy. I have soccer player thighs so most pants are pretty tight in that region for me. But those corrugates are cut wide enough around the thighs and slim down around the calves. Super comfy and they've handled brush very well.

Been my least favorite of all the pants I own. I have Kuiu and Sitka that I like. Every time I put those corrugates on I think put them on backwards . Weird fit the pant legs hike up my boot and have to wear gaitors to keep them down. I’m not long legged either. They are noisier than the other 2 companies I own.

I like some of the first lite merino tops but other than that I prefer the Sitka pants and tops(they actually make stuff that fits tall people) I also really like a lot of the black ovis merino stuff!

I'm too nervous to pull the trigger on any brand of pants other than Sitka. I know their tall sizes are long enough for me, and pants that are too short drive me bonkers.

I picked up a pair of stone glacier pants, they have tall sizes and fit just like there supposed to. Really high quality as well.

@jackelope first lite 35" will fit you and their tall pants. I have a few. I'm a 36" inseam and they run true.  I think Sitka talls are 34 and are too short for me.  Stone Glacier is long enough for me too.

I am a 36” inseam and the Sitka pants I have are all long enough for me. Sounds like the other ones would work. Don’t really need any others but maybe I’ll give something else a try. Thanks.

Just did a bear hunt in them (Idaho) and they did great.  My hunting partner has the FL Obsidian Marino and they are quiter, but I wasn't making swishing noise as I walked, but the brush was wet too...so not a good test of quietness.

I'm one of those guys whose waist shrinks an inch or so after a long day and pants that fit good in the morning, are falling off by afternoon, so I like the new style suspenders.
They kinda feel like they might fall off my shoulders, but never have.

I liked the corugate jacket and the inferno mid layer too.

I do get the pro code on FL
