5 birds down!!
« on: April 25, 2009, 06:17:08 PM »
What a year for MuleySniper, UncleBuck(his dad), and I. We had a blast this year. Turkeys were lit up like the 4th of July and not another hunter to deal with. Had MuleySniper bought his second tag we wold have gone 6 for 6 for sure. It was lights out turkey hunting. Bumer was that upon arriving to camp I realized I had not brought a tape for the camera. Got one on film with the FZ18 but it was not easy. Oh well. Lots of pictures. I will start off with my two. After all the birds I called in for MuleySniper to date he returned the favor calling in his fist group of gobblers so I could lay the hammer on #2. 3 big toms, and they were tough. He did awesome. We'll add more story and photos later.

Here are my two. One off the roost and one headed to the roost, same day.

I wouldn't of traded another tag for calling in those fired up toms any day! That's just as good as knockin em down :brew:  Next year were gonna get Tom Celic into deke range. :chuckle: When I get those pics off my dads camera, we'll have to post up all the names we called our birds. Yeah, even Tommy Hilfiger :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:

This is why Sniper didnt want a second tag. Every time we turned around he was take pictures of flowers. What a tree hugger.

good work boys...sounds like you had the honey hole.

UncleBuck, I think you got the last laugh with that 9 1/2 incher!!! What a rope. Sounds like the rest of your trip home was fun after Sniper ate the crout sausage.  :yike: Sorry to hear. I would have made him walk.

Here is one of UncleBucks Birds. Slightly bigger and better looking than his first. I'll let Sniper post the other one.

Don't even bring up any fart stories. Between you and my dad, damn good thing those birds can't smell :puke: Stickslinger is the only dude I know that can eat 5 pounds of undercooked beef and manage to fart his brains out the entire four days AND not take a single dump. You need to see a doctor dude... :yike:

Thanks for the compliments. As far as where we hunt....well that it why we never see another hunter. Pretty tight lipped about our spot. I found it 8 years ago and have never had a hard time knocking a few birds down. Plenty of turkeys in this state if you do some homework though.

Here is a couple of mine. Wish we were getting up at 3:45 again tomorrow. We definitely put some miles on our boots.  I can't wait to get a pic up of Tommy Hilfiger. Definitely tomorrow :chuckle: My dad had better not delete the picture of that "thing" :chuckle:
