My buddy got a 9.7lb rainbow from mineral lake. Took 4th place in the derby, but there is no prize for 4 place. He was beat out by 3 oz's.
Sorry we took no pictures.

I didn't get out either, had to take the wife to the Tulip festival.
What idiot gets married on opening day of fishing ? She explained it years ago as showing my love, now I'm sorry & crying each year.
Going Monday all day, less knuckle heads I guess. Mike

I left my boat in Vancouver.
Towed it down from Spokane in the minivan for the first time and it cost three times the fuel. I guess I'll just wait till my brother-in-law calls and invites me out for halibut. Then I can bring my boat back with my truck.

I took my Little Girl out today and we limited pretty fast. We had a great time. My daughter is hooked on fishing. Its a great feeling when the first words out of her mouth after waking up this morning were" Daddy, can we go fishing today?"

Went out opening day in the evening, the crowds were greatly reduced, and managed to catch two trout-trolling old school style (with oars
); First I tried wedding rings and night crawlers w no luck, switched up to a small spoon and caught my first fish for the 09 season about 5 min afterwards, nothing to brag about, just average stocker trout (11-12"), but it was a great day none the less.
