Purchase special draw
« on: May 27, 2021, 01:12:17 PM »
Been so busy past month forgot about the special Apps for deer and elk. I was wondering if it’s still possible to purchase even if it’s just for points. Thx

Yes, I'm pretty sure you will get a point in that case.

$10 penalty next year for not following the rules. :chuckle:

It defaults to point option if you don't select anything.  With my kids, I save the time of selecting all points individually and just leave them and they get the points.

Yes that is part of the process that I was explaining in the other thread.

After deadline they answer all the phone messages and emails that came in after hours.

Then they have to verify that applications sold jives with the sum of applications for actual hunts and applications for points only.  The item I forgot was those that bought an application but never filed for a hunt or points.  Those people get the point only option and at that time all numbers should even out.  It happens, just another bug that they have to work out before they can proceed with the draw.

Oddly, that is not the process for Multiseason applications.  If you forget to do anything with the app, they automatically put you in the draw instead of default to the point option.
I drew a deer multiseason when I didnt want to be in the running.  I forgot to go in, pick the point option and submit.

:chuckle: That is true. I wonder how many people each year put in for the point option on the MS permits?  I bet it is not very many.

I think the reason they do that is because in the beginning of the MS permits I believe once you purchased the app you were automatically entered.  When a few that wanted points only requested the option they changed the system but so many didn't realize that it changed, can't teach an old dog new tricks, they just assumed those that didn't file wanted to be in the drawing so they entered them.

Can I return it?  I haven't even bought it yet and don't plan on it

When I bought my Multi permits I went online to look at the options available and could not find anywhere to select points, group or individual.  probably should have check a day or 2 later as the web site may have just been having issues but there was nothing available to pick.  So I left as default which is individual draw and got deer
In God we trust, all others bring cash.

Do not say, Why were the old days better than these? For it is not wise to ask such questions.
