Any guesses on when they will arrive at Nisqually? I was down there last weekend and didn’t see any.
Well...for me the season is in the books. Not sure how many meals overall we've had or how many lbs of raw or smoked I've handed out, dropped off, or has been eaten. But, after all is said in done I'm left with a measly 27 pounds of smoked pink.
Super simple Brine is dry, 1 part kosher salt 3 parts brown sugar, fully cover 4 hours. Cold water rinse, let sit 1 hour. 3 to 4 hour smoke, low tem 180 ish on the dial. When pin bones pull out clean and fish is desired color remove, cool, pull bones, vac pack.
looking to pull some Pinks out of the Duwamish. Where does one park/ is it safe to use the 1st street ramp or is it better to run from Alki?
Little bit of a slow down today at Lighthouse. Lisa landed a 6.6 pound buck but that was the only one caught all morning. I am wondering if there's still some days left on the salt down there or if we should head to the river yet? Thoughts?Love fishing the beach.
