Morning. Thinking about inviting my dad out for some humpy slaying. If you could pick one week to guess the run peak for timing when would it be. 3rd week in August maybe? Area 8-2 and 9 is the target zone. Thanks
Anyone hearing of inbound wave of humpies?
They are loaded up out at Neah bay with some tickling in to Cq..Tons of bait so they are in no hurry...need some weather to get the itch to move in by big numbers..I would say 2-3 weeks they should be into the sound. Sept will be full wide open..
I don’t know if many fish are in yet but Humpy madness has officially hit the Mukilteo launch today. Parking is overflowing; just about any boat that can float is being put to use. At least a dozen boats are fishing in area 8-2.
8-2 is not open till the 14th but those people could be crabbing or fishing for something else. Who knows.
