I would suggest driving 5 more miles to post Falls and go to the new Cabelas. We went on Wednesday and spent 5 hours there. Pretty sweet store. Not as big as some of them but is was still pretty cool.

I have to admit, I loved the new Cabela's and was there on Wednesday as well, but I can't say I was too impressed with their reloading departmen.  Their loaded shell inventory was incredible, but I felt like at least in regards to reloading for long rifles it was somewhat lacking.
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.
If I ageed with you, then we'd both be wrong.

Some of my buddies were in on the building of it, so they got a "pre-" invite, with something like 40% off the top.

I asked them to do me a favor, just for the heck of it, check what a pound of Varget would go for over there.

$21.99 at Cabela's
$17.99 at the White Elephant

You bet I'll go to check it out (maybe in march), but if prices stay high, I'll do my shopping elsewhere.....

My biggest worry, they will drive other local prices up....the Elephant's prices went up when Sportsman's opened up.

I don't know how far along you are with reloading steel but if just starting I'd get in touch with this company first.  http://www.precisionreloading.com/

I know some match shooters who used to drive to spokane just to buy at the White Elephant. If they ever got pulled over with all the explosives on the way back they would have been locked up.    :chuckle: :chuckle:

I doubt if the elphant raised prices because of the SW. I would bet on higher shipping or more costs. the black sheep in CD'A is owned by members of the same family, and their prices are right there too.

I use to drive to Balck Sheep just to purchase Hornady New Dimension dies, nobody else in town had them. Now I mostly stick with Redding.

Powder was a buck or two cheaper at Clarck's in Colville, so I'd buy powder there. Their prices just went up too.

Don't know if I've seen many steel shot reloading components though....
