Ammo/Powder/Primers storage

Curious how everyone stores their powder, primers, and ammo.  Do you store it on a open type shelf/rack or put it in a metal cabinet?

For the most part I've always had just about everything on a regular storage rack but once it arrives I'll be switching everything over to a big HD enclosed metal cabinet.  Kinda curious what everyone else is using, open storage rack or metal cabinet or other.

I keep my powder in HAZMAT cabinets, one for smokeless and one for black. All centerfire ammo is stored in another. The shot shells are on shelves only because they are in constant rotation. I keep primers in sealed plastic containers.
I got a set of of this type cabinets at Boeing surplus for about $100.

I read sometimes back that metal cabinets were a no no and wood was the suggested but seems back-ackwards.

Here it is: From the NFPA 495-85 regs (in force since 1985) " Powder must be stored in DOT approved containers constructed to open up at low internal pressures to avoid the effects normally produced by the rupture or bursting of a strong container."
It also states Up to 20 # may be stored in original containers in residences......or if in a wooden box with at least 1" thick walls up to 50# is permitted.

Anything metal like a gun safe or metal cabinet coukd be classified as a “bomb”

I aggrege with that the cabinets I'm using are meant to blead off gases. I do know the one I use for black powder will not latch so it's not contained.

Have over 100 pounds that I leave on the garage concrete floor under my reloading bench.  Concrete will keep it cool and it’s a “day light” garage being under grade.   I wouldn’t store it in a shed outside where it gets really hot.
