FWIW Have 3 bucks visit the yard daily the largest has completely shed and the other 2 have not even started yet

Deer seem to always ditch velvet later than elk even though elk shed a month later. Wild how quickly the big bulls grow new antlers in such a short period of time.

Yes elk always rub off velvet first. And deer always shed first.

Also I have a spike elk on cam same time and still has velvet and that explains it more
