People steal bark?

He looks a bit like Les Stroud.
cascara bark has medicinal properties.  It was popular before things like ex-lax.  You can find it on Ebay, craigslist and hippy stores.
It's used in medicine too.

Used to peel cascara bark as a kid. It was pretty good money for a kid. Man, you definitely wanted to wash your hands after you were done. Very potent laxative... lol

I think we used get $1 a pound dry. Sometimes a bit more in good years. It was fun and you got to go out in the woods to do it. I loved it.
