My son and I were drawn for these tags this year! I've hunted the area once before but I'm much more familiar with the Colockum. Any advice would be great appreciated. Thank you very much!!

That tag is definitely fillable but I would not plan on a quick weekend trip over and only allocating 1 to 2 days to fill it. I don’t know why but for some reason there seems to be a lot more bulls up in that area than cows. I will get 10 to 15 bulls on camera for every one cow. Lots of lone elk wandering around though which increases opportunities of finding them. Good luck I have no special tags so I will be living vicariously through all of those that do

Thank you! I need to get some maps and then try and find some places for cameras.

I’ve spent 20 years in the unit, all different seasons. It’s a fun tag but will be challenging. Good luck and keep us posted. (Fine to put cams out, but these elk move a lot).
