Crystal Mountain Lakes
« on: June 19, 2021, 09:43:03 PM »
The wife and I rode the Gondola on Crystal Mountain today. I see there are a couple little lakes. Has anyone tried to fish them?

We fly fish up there. Just catch and release. Henskin is good and a great place to camp

Ride the gondola and hike to the lake or hike in from the bottom?

We tried to take it up yesterday around 2 and the line was long and they had a lot of wind slowdowns. We decided to just have a beer at the lower lodge, that guy could learn some people skills! Love the area, beautiful at the lakes.
“In common with”..... not so much!!

I like to take the gondola up and walk down, but the gondola isn’t cheap. The view though is priceless

Lots of small brookies in mountain lakes usually means they’ll eat just about anything.
