Like Cooper STT Pro and B.F Goodrich T/A KO2

The Goodrich if you are looking for "smoother" pavement ride.  After a year the Coopers are starting to make more noise on the pavement.

BFG KO2s for me. I've had an AWD jeep for 15ish years. The KO2s have handled the AWD tire wear better than other brands I've tried. Also great on and off road performance. I don't put the dedicated studded snow tires on unless the roads have ice.

Stay away from Toyo. They seem to wear faster and are very stiff making for a rough ride.

I just put BFG KO mud terrains on, much better ride. For mud tires they are pretty quiet on pavement.

Bfg km3 is a great tire, little more aggressive than the ko2’s but still a smooth ride on the pavement.

Cooper ST Maxx, best all around tire hands down. Off-road performance like a mud terrain, great in snow, not very loud on the highway, and on a full size F150 I've had two sets of them last over 60k miles with a ton of highway driving.

BFG mud terrain KO2 255/80/17 has been my favorite tire and what I ran on my last jeep.  They're a fairly tall narrow tire often referred to as "pizza cutters" but they work well and because they're relatively narrow they generally don't rub.  I had them on my last Rubicon even before I put a 2.5 lift on it and they didn't rub.  I still have a new set mounted on AEV Pintlers sitting in my shop and no Jeep.

Cooper ST Max or Goodyear Duratrac. My last three sets of tires of been Duratracs and they've outperformed the BFG's and Toyo's by a longshot.

In another tire thread someone mentioned that they liked the Falken Wildpeak A/T 3W.

So I bought some for my pickup a few weeks ago. Very quiet, rides nice.

:yeah:
Not to hijack this, as mine are on an '04 Tundra and not a Jeep. I'm 10,000 miles into mine and love them. Quiet, smooth ride. Great traction in all conditions and even clean the mud out pretty well for an AT.

Depends on use.  Need more info?   Dry or wet side?  Size of tire?  Hiway mostly or off road or extreme use?  Im not BF fan anymore.  Duratrac is very good tire for snow, wet, light mud and road.   Cooper is tough and good overall.  I have had good luck with Toyo AT series on diesel trucks.  Falken??  Not had em.  If you arent a heavy mud use guy I would stay with AT style.  If mud then Cooper or less mudd duratrac.  If roads, wet, snow ice, toughness, general rough rock/dirt then Duratrac or AT.  Cepek?  Nope.  Jeeps are lighter so options available so I think its about intended use you want...  You dont need a *censored* tire on jeeps unless your "wheeling".
MAGA!  Again..

Definitely a few stand out by what I’m seeing. I don’t mind about hearing about tires on other rigs we have lots of different rigs with different brands. So brand is not to important just life span and the Ability to hold up well off road “not extreme” and ride decent on the highway.

Tire size will either be a 31x10.5r15 or 33x10.5r15 or 16. I am considering a 2/3” lift.
Rig is a factory jeep 98 tj a cherry I pulled out of a garage. I have read that the 31 should be good and not rub on the factory clearance. It has 30x9.5 right now. With the 2/3 lift 33 should be no problem.

Falken, Duratrac, Toyo AT3, BF AT.  Toyo likley last longest follow by Falkens.  Duratrac best for snow and toughness.  Falken best all round?  IMOP from my research.  I am leaning towards Toyo for diesel.

cooper st maxx....im on my second truck with them.  pretty good for on road noise and fantastic offroad/snow/mud while still behaving on wet pavement.
SUPER strong sidewalls, they are a bit heavier, but its a price you pay for durability.
duratracs have notoriously weak sidewalls, as do falkens wild peaks.
wild peaks will be the tamest on road with regards to noise but the worst offroad of those 3.
