Seen this Buck yet?

Check out this MONSTER!!! Here is the story!!!
Keele and his dad, Max Johnson, were startled to find out that Max's 40 year old mule deer trophy is actually the new World Record! Keele manned an ISAGENIX booth at the International Sportsman's Expo held this month in Salt Lake (thank you Jeff Clements for donating the booth). Keele decided to hang his dad's deer head as part of his display...it was afterall a hunting show and he thought a big deer trophy might generate traffic.
Some gentlemen from Safari Club wandered over and asked if they could take the head and measure it. When they came back, they said they would like to write a story about Max. Keele replied he was sure that would be okay, but asked why.
This deer is officially the new world record for largest typical mule deer. The old record was 221 points. The deer scores 228 5/8. The Safari Club will be taking the head on a world tour and will honor Max at their annual convention with an award.
The fun thing is Max was also awarded Farmer of the Year for San Juan County that week. I guess if you wait long enough you get the recognition you deserve. Max is 77 years old, still farming, still hunting and yes a big supporter of ISAGENIX. As new associates Max and his wife Charlene have lost about 15 pounds each in a two week period. Way to go Max!!

Damn! That is big.......
I like hearing the way that the record was broken, too, instead of, "The Govenor's Tag holder flew in today on a private jet and went to the shooting bench set up for him to take the new state record."

It's almost like SCI made their own record book so magazines could put bucks on the cover that say "New Number 1" and people will buy them like crazy. It defintitely works, though - we are talking about it right now! If they were to enter this buck with B&C, it would be "just" another great typical. He has got some significant side to side deductions, but it is a stud buck for sure! Love those wide, boxy 4x4's.
