Hoof rot...I guess.
« on: July 18, 2021, 04:36:26 PM »
This poor girl had hoof rot  (I guess) so bad that looks like she has a cast on her back foot. Had several pics n video of her looking like she was calling out in pain.

WDFW needs to do something.  Cull as much of the limpers as they can.   Horrible thing to watch.

That sucks! I hate hoof rot! Never have seen it on my trail cams or in real life.
Do it right the first time,

                       not the second.

Poor girl. Low quality picture but that doesn't look like other hoof rot cases I've seen.
Kindly do not attempt to cloud the issue with too many facts.

That looks like some trauma or something going on above the hoof on the leg to me. Not an expert, but the hoof rot ive seen is all at or below where the hoof starts.

Admittedly one picture, and me being a complete nonexpert i am probably not a reliable judge tho.  :tung:

I think it is trying to protect itself from hoof rot and wrapped it in aluminum foil.

Burn, fungus, bacterial infection are other possibilities that come to mind. @DOUBLELUNG has probably seen everything twice.
Kindly do not attempt to cloud the issue with too many facts.

Here is the video of her. I thought it looked like a tin foil cast too.
