So here is a little rundown of the events that led up to yesterday!!! Well last week me, Jeremy(jerome), Torei(maghunter) set out to see what was going on up on the hill. We walk in several area's covering quite a few miles and decided to give one last road a try! Well we come around a corner and there is a brute eating grass along side the road. Big old block head with a belly about touching the ground. One look through bino's and you could tell he didnt have any ears and was a definate shooter! I tell him to wait and let me get everything on video! Well that cost us a great bear!! The camera doesnt work in Lock Mode and thats where it was with me franticly turning the camera on and off. As the bear is walking broadside I tell torei to shoot. He does and shoots right over the bears back!!! End of that day!!! We did manage to see some great bulls and a couple fuzzy bucks! So since Jeremy is off playing in disney land I gave Torei my number and told him to get ahold of me and we would get out again soon! So yesterday torei calls and said he was going out with a guy that had never been hunting before and was gonna see what it was all about! Just so happens it was my girlfriends birthday and what better present than to go find some billy's in the high country!! Well not really that high but as high as you can get below the snow! On our way up we take some spur roads to check out the grass and see if there is any bear sign yet!!! Well there was no sign until Jenna say's STOP!!! There is a big bear just standing there!!! We back up and sure enough there he is!!! I take some pics and then the old boy decided to just lay down!!! So up the mountain we went to look for goats!!!

We got up the mountain and spotted 3 goats but were to far up the cliffs to get any closer!!! And of course when taking pics of the bear wouldnt you know it the battery goes dead!!!  

So back down the mountain and out to where I can get cell service to see where Torei is at!! I just got into an area I get service and dialed his number!!! All of a sudden some truck comes around a corner about runs me off the road!! I look at the maniac driving and it was him!!! haha  Im leaving him a message and we about hit head on!!!! So I turn around and catch up to him! We I get in with him and jenna goes down to get gas in my truck while I go back up the creek draw with torei! We get to where the bear was and after a few minutes we spot him!!! Torei gets down and makes a perfect shot on him! Down he goes! Torei's first bear and a great spring bear for anyone!!!  

It was fun to be along for the hunt!! I didnt get to pull the trigger but was just as fun being there and helping someone get a trophy that will be remembered for a long time!!!  Now its time for the rest of the spring bears to be found!!!
