TieBoss
« on: August 10, 2021, 12:19:03 PM »
We've been trying to find a way to store our catarafts, so the mice don't chew on the tubes, which they love to do.  Also they take up a LOT of room.  Found a company called TieBoss.  Got four of the 300 pound capacity ones.  Perfect!!  The bottom of the tubes are 6.5 feet from the floor so I can walk under them without having to duck down.

Nothing is foolproof, but this will go a looooong way to protect them.  Heck of a lot better than sitting on the floor.  :)

Sounds like you need a good security garage cat, Fred.

I don't have mice at the moment, new shop, nice and secure, plus my Muscovy Ducks are hell on the mice population, but it only takes one to cause some seriously expensive damage.  :)

I bought a couple pulley systems for this, but they don't lock as you pull them up.  These are nice since they lock as you pull them up.

Does anyone know where you can get the rope pinch/brake piece of this equation?.  i want a rope pinch/brake on the wall with long leads for high ceilings to go through the pulleys/blocks.  14 foot celings and different points in the room.   i am currently using blocks that have brakes, which is fine when you are against the wall, but when you are in the center of the room, the rope dangling down is the problem and if you put the excess rope on the wall, you run the risk of releasing the brake.
