I don't know your fish and game laws, but if you still have a falconry season you're probably next.

Here is a guys website that hunts coyotes with hounds.  http://rapidcreekridgekennels.20m.com/

And here is a thread on a message board with some pics.  A lot of the message boards don't have pics available for non-members to view.  Probably a good idea to not let PETA types get any ammo for shutting down hunting with hounds.

Here is a youtube video about fox and coyote hunting with hounds.

Nothing at all against those that can and do make those very long shots on game that never knows your there, but if thats ethical I cant understand how a long chase with hounds in the woods and maybe they tree, maybe they dont, you and the dogs have worked your asses off, so if you get to make the kill, its some how not ethical? its some how not sporting? are you kidding me? Try it out just once. I got to go with a guy I grew up with in Port Angeles , coon, cats, and bear. But that was back in the old days, right?, when it was legal, like the 70s & 80s wow way back then. How long before we say the same thing about hunting cats at all, or bear, deer, elk ? I dont know, but the writings on the wall, if we cant change it.

I had heard stories about hound hunting when i was a small child. It wasn't until I was about 17 that I got to actually go hound hunting. A friend took me and we treed a female cougar w/kittens which he took pictures of and we left in the tree. From that time on I was hooked. I have paticipated in about every kind of hunting available in this state and in numoerous other places, and I can assure you, there is no greater sport than hunting with good dogs, whether they are hounds, labs, shorthairs, etc.

The dog hunter has a better time watching the dogs work than taking the animals. Some of my most memorable hunts are hunts where the animal was left unharmed. It is sad that any hunter would be so opposed to something they have no experience with.

My son and I were looking at getting a couple experienced coyote dogs, now the chance of participating in that sport has been taken away possibly forever......

Is this poll locked? I seem to be unable to cast my vote.

i think when bearpaw made the thread/poll he set it to end/lock at a certain date. i don't know how to unlock it but will try to figure it out.

i think it's safe to assume it was not intentional.

Thanks jackelop (and bobcat) for unlocking this poll! I placed my vote.

I pretty much agree with Bearpaw's signiture statement states which says................

"Americans are systematically advocating, legislating, and voting away each others rights and freedom of choice. Do you support the freedom of choice? Do you prefer to make the choices for other people? Do you prefer to do nothing, while some people make the choices for other people? This choice is still yours, do you choose to keep it?"

Hunting is Hunting as long as it is legal, whatever it takes to get you and your kids in the field. WDFW just seems to be trying to make Enforcment easier and hunting harder and less enjoyable.

Hello Guys,
I must have made some mistake when I started the poll, please continue voting.

Have been out turkey hunting the last week and haven't been on the forum lately. Saw 5 coyotes yesterday and many others every day I was out. There's definitely no shortage of coyotes.
