That’s a tough one even with a perfectly capable hunter. Maybe you should take a drive down there with your dad and start door knocking and explain his situation. Might get lucky and find a farmer that would be understanding.

A ton (almost all) private in those units.  There are areas to hunt but a lot of walk in only.   There use to be a family that guided in the almota and had really nice land with lots of deer, may want to research that.  Wish I could offer more help but all the land I’ve hunted has changed ownership over the years.

Got onX?  There's actually quite a bit of public land in those units.  Figure out where you wanna spend time, seems like the whitetails tend to stick to the crop land draws and the mulies are in the breaks/river draws but they do move pretty far during the rut.

I've hunted a lot in these units primarily pheasant hunting and I've had a lot of luck with the hunt by reservation system in wdfw.  Lots of pretty good land on that system.  Also had luck knocking on doors too.  Good luck this year with Dad!

Reach out to YJ Guide Service on here. He has ground in these GMU's and is reasonably priced.

there is state land and feel free to hunt. But as stated above he is disabled. That stuff is walk in only.

I know that family, down on Union Flat-  if the OP could PM me, I'd be happy to relay some contact info.

Yes, that is likely the same family as it was on union flat.  Always had deer hanging during the season and lots of beautiful ground.
