Rendezvous
« on: August 17, 2021, 02:29:15 PM »
Hi All, new trapper here. From the Olympia area.  It was nice to meet many of you at the Rendezvous. (I was the guy with the public lands T-shirt).

I wanted to share that I found many of the presentations very interesting and super useful as a new trapper. Learning how to skin for taxidermy was eye-opening. And the new trapper session was invaluable.

Being exposed to that definitely lit a new fire under my butt for trapping.  I've got one of Bruce's swimthroughs for beaver, and I'm working on my 3rd colony trap right now.  Hoping to make about a dozen come Nov 1st.  And pile up a few critters shortly afterwards.

Thank you for being kind to "the new kid".  I look forward to asking lots of questions, learning your tips and tricks of the trade, and sharing my successes with you like minded folks.

-Joel

Good to welcome you new trappers,  I appreciate your enthusiasm.  Good luck on the trapping and see you all at our other events. Don't be afraid to ask questions here on the forum or to call any officers or county reps if you need advice.  Ed C.
