Nice 5x5 bull road kill on I-5 just south of Grand Mound exit. Antlers clean of all velvet.

I saw that too. Must’ve been a sketchy salvage being right against the median. It was salvaged, though.

I was thinking that also. Many road kill deer in that stretch but to see a bull there was a shocker.

I have seen elk there in the past.   If I remember right someone was really hurt about 10 years ago from hitting one around there.   Not surprised it got salvaged.  That's a lot of meat to waste

I saw 2 6x6 bulls yesterday and they were rubbed clean. The 6x7 I saw 2 weeks ago in the same area was full velvet.

They’re just finishing up with velvet rubbing. They’ll start gravitating towards the cows within a few weeks. Then, it’s party time.

I jest got a trail cam pic of a nice bull and buck and the bull does not have velvet but the buck does? I would think the buck would loose its velvet first because it sheds first?
Do it right the first time,

                       not the second.
