Salmon Shore Opportunities in Thurston County

Hello all,

New to salmon fishing this year. Making some trips up to king county to fish with a buddy and so far I've caught two pinks. Looking for some opportunities closer to home so I can get out more often. Any tips are appreciated!

More info: we've been using buzz bombs and hootchie jigs off the coast of the sound so far and in the Duwamish last week. I'd like to find some shore spots on the sound down here and maybe a couple rivers for later in the season.

I've never fished the sound from shore myself but I've seen guys fishing from the beach by Dupont

Try Browns point or Dash point. I've caught nice pinks at both places.

Excellent shore spots are Mukilteo Lighthouse shoreline and just north at the new ferry pier; Edmonds Pier; Lincoln Park in West Seattle; Carkeek Park; Alki Point; Deception Pass; Golden Gardens; Redondo Beach; Dash Point State Park pier and shoreline; Fort Casey, Keystone, Bush Point and Lagoon Point off the west side of Whidbey Island; Point Wilson and Fort Casey State Park near Port Townsend; Point No Point; Possession Point Bait House; Picnic Point in Edmonds; and Point Defiance Park Boathouse or Les Davis piers in Tacoma.
