Stolen ATV
« on: August 28, 2021, 10:46:18 PM »
My atv was stolen off a dirt road in blewitt pass tonight. It is a red 1999 Polaris sportsman has saddle bags and a gun rack. Left rear tire is brand new. Just put a bunch of money into it. If you see anything please let me know or report it thanks.

What general area of blewit pass, kittitas side or chelan county side?   Lots of buddies live on the chelan county side so I will put the word out.

I have property on the liberty side of the pass. I will let my son know to keep an eye out on the trails. I assume you left it parked to go hunting and gone when you returned? Was the key in it or should we expect to see some ignition damage? This crap pisses me off, especially when it is close to home

Having just been ripped off of some stuff myself, I feel your pain.
.
Seriously investigating small gps trackers to install on anything I buy of value in the future.
.
There has to be something out there...
.
Police are no help, but if I knew where my stuff was, they might actually be concerned.

They better show up before I do...

Thieves suck!!!  Officers are not that interested in property crimes now days and I can't say I blame them given the current state of affairs.  Doesn't mean I agree with the lack of support...but I understand how limited the resource is and little backing they have from their elected officials.  Actual police work is not longer what it use to be.

You may remember this spring I had a thread about my sisters property....literally thousands, tens of thousands of dollars worth of stuff stolen......crickets from the cops after the quick investigation.  Nothing recovered.....quad, tractor, tools, etc.    :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash:

I really hope you find your quad....but the reality is, you wont.  It has been dumped somewhere, probably destroyed or it is being modified and sold as we speak.  Hopefully I am wrong....and I will spread the word.

It was on the Kittitas side, off one of the 4 wheel drive roads on mill creek to be specific. Still have the key, not sure if old Polaris have a universal key but they got it started somehow.

We will keep an eye out for it.
Man I hate tweakers. That would’ve been a real bad situation if someone walked up on that in the process coming back from a Bear Hunt. What the hell are these people thinking. Is it really worth taking a  180 grain bullet to the chest over somebody’s four wheeler. I see someone coming down the trail on my four wheeler it’s going to be a standoff and either he’s going to stop or he’s  getting shot in the face as he runs me over

Any more info.....
Like how long did you leave it.
Is this a public road or closed road where ATV is not allowed
Did you search the area well.
Is this a spot where they can just back up to it.

I ask cause this ,cause some hunters can get pretty upset.
Thieves will load it up and take it.
Another hunter may have pushed it off a cliff somewhere.

Not that it's right, but may help you find it.

It was left between 5pm - 8pm there were clear tracks where it turned around and peeled out. My buddy’s atv was parked next to it and un-touched his is new and might be harder to steal I don’t know. It was on a clearly marked 4wheel drive road. Would be very difficult to load into a truck where it was at. Very possible it was dumped up there after a joy ride. Or they road it out and loaded it up I’m not sure

Getting bad when owners have to install a battery disconnect on 4 wheelers and side by sides
