Do it right the first time,

Definitely bugling in the mudflow yesterday. Hearts weren’t all in it but they were sounding off.

They usually start when your not there or when they haven't been chased out of the country.

They're bugling good on the East side right now.  That doesn't mean they're not there if they don't answer.

Back when we hunted the Gifford Pinchot alot the elk typically got fired up right after the first cold snap. When the nights were frosty and they days could still reach the 70's. Same with the East side. Once the nights get considerably cooler than the day they know it's time to start getting "horned up" as we would say. My sheep and goats are starting to stink already as well. Just a little though.

Had one come in silent yesterday and three others just feeding by and none of them answered cow calls or bugles.

They are talking from 30 minutes before dark all night and for an hour of first light.
Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.
