Ever calm or natural?
« on: August 31, 2021, 06:52:59 PM »
Was contemplating trying some of that Conquest Evercalm but with this 17 yards from my stand might be a waste of money, pic taken with phone

I read that thread title wrong...

I'm never calm and rarely natural...  :o :chuckle:

Gary
One does not hunt in order to kill; on the contrary, one kills in order to have hunted. If one were to present the sportsman with the death of the animal as a gift he would refuse it. What he is after is having to win it, to conquer the surly brute through his own effort and skill with all the extras that this carries with it: the immersion in the countryside, the healthfulness of the exercise, the distraction from his job. ~ Jose Ortega y Gasset

tried evercalm for the 1st time this year. Son used it on his ground blind. Doe came in and put her nose just under his elbow that was rested on the side. never spooked and just walked off. Expensive stuff.

I never popscicle  stand without it , I got a free batch before it came out from a little store in coulee city , when I was fish down there , that lady there knows the guy inventer or in this case finder ? I put it on my shoes going in , and all over my tree I'm perched on , I'll tell you , that stuff is a attractant of every critter in the forest , I've had moose , doe , spike , bobcat and cougar come in on it , but the one that got me was the day I came back to my stand , to find it twisted upside down and my seat pad a good distance away all chewed up by bears , I can't begin to tell you what Ive seen on game cameras with that stuff , a wolf came in and tore the place up ! I think he was pissed at ,,,, ME ?
