Only have one of the head.  It was an amazing time.  One evening to hunt with kid this year.  Had two does feeding for about 20 min.  Paxton had to stay still for 1.5 hours.  And he is 7 so not an easy ask.  About 45 min later big boy came through.  His first attendance to a kill.
What a Blacktail!!

Got permission from my buddy to post his from Friday. Got to watch this guy through the spotter while it all went down! Tough shot angle and excitement caused a lil scope eye!

Huge body 3x3
I kill elk and eat elk, when I'm not, I'm thinking about killing elk and eating elk.

Wife and I slept in the truck Friday night, we hiked in the pouring rain amd after a missed opportunity early in the morning, we spotted this buck bedded at 250, fog rolled in amd we had to wait for 40 minutes and for a break and he was still there, she shot amd he only went 15 yards. So proud of her for sticking it out and getting a nice Olympic peninsula blacktail

You're a lucky man to have a wife as you do. And damn nice buck. Congrats to her.

Finally went out and filled my second tag.  Hard pack out.  Almost 30 yards to the boat  :dunno: :chuckle:

2021 treated me well so far.  Well see how elk season goes

There's a whole story here that I'll probably have to post on a thread of it's own, but this was Little Pathfinder's first trip to Idaho.  Smallest buck he's ever shot, but he packed the entire thing out on his own.  7 miles packing meat uphill, walked a total of 21 mountain miles that day.
Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.  That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.
