Jeez, a ton of blacktail with a sprinkling of mulies. This is great! Love seeing the blacktail harvest. Seems that the last week of BT season really picks up.

Thanks! He was so excited. It’s crazy, six years ago was his first hunting trip. Now today he has done everything himself. From harvesting the animal, gutting, skinning to butchering it. I’ve done maybe 1% of the work.

Here's a 2021 Washington buck. Estimated at 315 LBS. on the hoof. We took 105 LBS. of edible meat from this Chiwawa unit buck, killed Monday afternoon at 2:00PM. Life's good.
That’s a tank, my biggest bodied deer had 90 lbs boned out meat.

I finally killed my first Blacktail on Saturday. He was an old/mature buck. Huge body on him and the biggest 2 point I have ever seen in person. Couldn't be more excited with him! He had a huge neck and a really cool throat patch as well.
