Diopters
« on: September 03, 2021, 07:15:06 PM »
I've been fondeling new binos and on vortex especially I can't seem to get the diopter to move.

Think the store would get upset if hooked a pipe wrench to them?

Vortex viper hd
Leupold bx wouldn't move either

I think the vortex viper uhd with japan glass was ok, it moved

Am I doin it wrong?  I need that diopter to move and focus!

And I got pretty solid paws, I can twist things, but I'm getting into break it territory here...

Lift toward the eyepiece to unlock it, turn to where you need it, push back down towards body to lock in position. On Razors anyway, but I'm pretty sure Vipers too that I had upgraded from.

Yes...Locking diopters.
Do you know how to set one?

I ended up with 12x50 razor HD with locking diopter

I like it!  best bino's I've ever had.   None of the sales guys knew how to move the diopter in like 4 stores I went too.

I have astigmatism so I set the main focus knob with right eye closed until it's perfect, then move the diopter with my left eye closed until the right eye is perfect too.
