Vintage recurves by Howatt

Anyone on here have a vintage recurve by Howatt from Yakima. I'm talking an original Howatt and not a Martin Howatt. I bought one from someone who found it in a storage unit from 1974. The bow was purchased "used" in 1967 she said by her husband. It's a Cavalier with green laminate. Is this a genuine Howatt or a Martin Howatt? How do you find out?

My recurve that I bought for $50 15 years ago has no markings on it that tell me who made it. Twice, oldtimers at archery shoots i used to go to speculated that it was a Bill Stewart made bow

Considering Martin bought Howatt in 1976...
I would say it's not a Martin Howatt...

Right, but I'm relying on someone with not that good of memory after getting to know her and talking bout her husband and their love of archery. Some of the stories she told changed my mind on her accuracy for dates and where the stuff came from. She gave me an old Martin arrow box full of arrows. Some old Bear arrows and some custom made ones as well. That was a good read on Bill Stewart too! I was not aware of how much he had done for the sport! All these guys who did so much for archery over the years! Right here in Washington State! Anyone else with info on these old bowyers chime in with what you know!

My brother and a friend of mine both had Bill Stewart build them a bow back in the '70's. He had a shop out in Harrah.. Double Recurve Signature Bow. He had a nice shop there and I bought some fiberglass arrows from him. I would bet the bow is a Howatt. Another friend worked at Howatt..He would bring home some of the scrap pieces of exotic wood they would use..Babinga wood was one of them.

I’ve got an old Howatt takedown bow, my great uncle used to work for them here in Yakima.  I’ve got to locate it and I’ll post a picture
