What's it worth?
« on: September 15, 2021, 09:05:28 PM »
I have a friend who has 2008 Camaro. She wants to sell it. It has been sitting in a garage in CA until recently. It has 12,740 miles on it. She put new tires on it and it looks like a brand new car. She has been offered $20,000. I told her, don't do it.
Am I wrong in thinking it is worth a lot more?

I’d say it depends on the model and motor

Older cars/trucks with super low miles ,do seem to demand higher value.
What that number is ......
Is whatever someone will pay.

Since it's a Chevy I would take the $20,000 and run!

Check blue book with all the options...too many variables to say what it is worth without knowing. There is nothing really special about the year but someone out there might see it differently.  :dunno:

2008 would be a concept model and worth a lot.  2010 was the first model year of the 5th gen Camaro.

If it is a 2010 V6 model I would take the $20k, If is is a fully loaded SS $20k might be a little low if it is in excellent condition but in the ballpark.

The SS model will hold value longer especially every day we get closer to not making any more gas powered cars.  I have a couple LS powered rockets that I am definitely holding onto.

 :yeah:

I just figured he meant 2010...would be really cool if it ended up being a concept car though  8)

If it really is a 2008 concept car the sky is the limit whatever someone is willing to pay for it and $20,000 seems low for a concept car.
Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.
