Scatter Creek pheasant release site.

This morning I found " STOP  NO entry" signs at most of the gates to the hunting area.  It appears that everyone who wants to hunt has to go to the one parking lot to enter the south/west area.  It will be a mad house on the weekend with all the people lined up there at 8:00 am.  It wont be so hard for the young hunters who keep up with their fast running pointers, but not so good for us older, slower hunters. It was much better with the several gates open. The hunters started out spread out and the slowest of us could find birds that had not been chased or shot at.
The north/east area has two or three entries, not much better.
We pay a lot of money for the chance to shoot pheasants, they could at least keep it possible to find birds.  An extra two or three miles to hunt for birds makes a difference to us.

That’s strange. I was there Saturday and didn’t see any signs.
Step once, look twice...

Hi Backstrap,
I went there this am and they were there on the gate or fences.  I'll call the manager.  Maybe others  should too.

I just spoke with the manager of that area and he plans to remove the signs this afternoon.  He said the youth and seniors have been entering at the usual spot on 183rd and ignoring the signs.

Thank you "Fatslinger" for calling.
The signs were still up Friday am. I can't get over working for the cops (they called themselves that) and don't knowingly go against the rules.
At least the "Controlled Burn" signs didn't say Keep Out.  I hope they burn the tall Scots Broom. I can't see Camie in it and she finds birds in it that take off before I can find her.
Hope to see you soon,  Diane
