I think the wild turkeys tend to readily and even prefer burbon toms, a popular domestic that's white


I've never seen a wild white turkey that wasn't close to people and farms with potential domestic turkeys

You don't need a license to shoot domestic turkeys, and white turkeys are domestic imo
we shot a tom miles from any home in the mountains years ago.  He as the dominant bird.  I know the area this bird is in well and there are no domestic turkeys near there.
