2021 General Deer
« on: October 15, 2021, 05:33:25 PM »
Good luck everyone, post up your general season bucks.

I just talked to a buddy that headed East for the opener at 1:00. 5:15 and he’s stuck on Blewett, has been for 2.5 hours. Drive safe everyone.
The things that come to those who wait, may be the things left by those who got there first!

+1.  Safe travels and the best of luck to all.  I'm sidelined for the weekend with house issues, but will be out soon.
Look man, some times you just gotta roll the dice

Daughter has homecoming among other things this weekend, volleyball next Saturday.  So we’ll only have next Sunday and her and I will take off Tuesday the last day.  I’m feeling that’ll be the day it happens.  Good luck everybody.

Leaving the house right now......
To the big disappointment of other hunter and no deer ,
Here I go..............
Gotta poop
Gotta check hunting hours
Gotta start truck
Then I'm going.........
Ok looks like 6:45 for the first deer down......
So I'll leave now ,about an hour to drive, get to gate, wait till about 6:30,start walking,be at least to the first little drainage by 6:45 .
And who know how much BS in between all that .
Goodluck you all.

Here I go for real this time.......
Please let us get to the gate first.....
This is a deer hunt, but also a trail cam rescue mission before it gets snowed in or stolen.
Wish us luck.

Just got here, and yup ,someone at the gate.
Where just gonna hike around on higher ground is the plan now. We backed off, turned around ,trying to access from a different location. But same area.

Always hated that feeling....my hope in those situations was maybe it would get the deer moving :dunno:

We have seen two muley Doe,cow moose from about a mile away. The hunters at the gate walked the lower rd below us.
Those deer where already on the move when we seen them.
There is another hunter above us ,maybe 5-600 yards.
Watching us eat breakfast and soak in the mourning sun.
Will make an attempt to move in a bit to a better spot.
The hills have eyes up here.
Heard two shots ,not to far, pretty close to us.
Trail cam is gonna have to wait, cause we got pushed in the opposite direction.

Sitting in my morning stand since 0655. The wind started to pick up about an hour ago but hasn't really been enough to move anything. Hoping for a bit of rain. Only birds so far.

I’m already hearing shots. So far it sounds like everyone is lobbing rounds at running deer. Pretty typical for around here.

Same here....gotta live through others when I can’t be out there.

Our report:  my son and 2 friends in the blind...only two does at 8:30.  Very quiet here in deer park.
