cheap motels, cigarettes and 2400 miles.....
« on: May 03, 2009, 09:30:01 AM »
Back in town from a 9 day road trip to Montana. Had a great time....the weather was really nasty at times and the clouds covered the sights most of the time. Did some fishing(most all rivers were blown), some hiking, caught up with my sister for a few days. Had a really good time. Due to the weather and my transportation I was limited to where I could wander off to. I did have to   utilize a 20 point turn on more than one occasion! I was lucky enough to be able to go on a short drift trip on the Lower Madison....Lucky that we ran into one of my sisters clients at the bar. He offered to take us so we accepted! He guides  I only caught 1 fish but damn I would have been happy to have been skunked! Awesome trip....first time in a drift boat.

Here are some pictures I took......I wont post a lot of pictures from the first few days because I am an idiot and didnt figure out that I had adjusted my exposer........whatever....there wasn't anything to see! :bash:

Don't know why but the title of the thread had me instantly thinking of Roger Millers "King of the Road" I know these young guys are saying "Roger who?"

The things that come to those who wait, may be the things left by those who got there first!
