Huckleberry 121 Late Bull Moose Tag
« on: October 28, 2021, 10:26:00 AM »
Lucky to draw a late bull moose tag. Did some deer hunting in 121 late last year and then have scouted the unit 2 different 3 day weekends now. Still have not spotted a moose. Not seeing much sign either. We have covered quite  a bit of ground. Any tips or pointers would be great as we are heading to camp for 2 weeks starting on the 4th of November. Looking forward to getting away from work for the hunt.

I'll be out in the unit ,trying to help my friend fill his quality mule deer Tag.
I haven't seen any huge bulls or any lately, but if I do I'll PM ya with location or something like that.
Seen a cow yesterday . I just snapped a pic with my phone real quick,so it's a crappy pic.

Have your deer tag in your pocket.   There are bigger whitetails there than moose.

Where will you be camping?  Bunch of the kids will be over for the late hunt and, if you're close, I'll stop by and let you know if and where they spotted anything. They ran into several on the early hunt

There are plenty of quality bulls still around. I seen a picture of another nice bull that was taken this week on the late hunt that was a stud. Where abouts are you hunting? Shoot me a PM and I can try to help you out.

And my cell#  but I forgot I don't answer calls that I don't know ,so hope text because that's the only way I respond.
And a Google map link to a dropped pin.
But will say they are out, seen two bulls and three cows in the past two days.

Here is a pic of one of the bulls, and yes it's super crappy pic.
The bull yesterday I just got my spotting scope set up to take some "good" pics and he walked off.
If you can get past the fog, past two days have been horrible for fog.
The one in the pic was about 5 mile behind closed gate.
The other one ,which I believe was bigger was on an open road clear cut, that's the one I shared location.
Almost every road I walk down has fresh moose tracks in them. I just did 14 mile in two days ,along with some glassing when I wasn't foggy.
I know 7 mile a day is no big feet, but I'm fat and getting older.

Hit the “pass” road and go south towards huckleberry mount. Get close to the reservation boarder, right on the line.
I got some info the other day that the area has some mule deer in it ,is there any truth to that or what.
