Was up high last weekend for archery deer.   They seemed to be lacking.  Not much sign.   Down low we saw much more.   It was green up high though,  so I don't get it.   Heading out for elk tonight.

I never pass on an opportunity to harvest a predator.  :)

No matter what I'm hunting, if there is a bear or cougar it turns in to a predator hunt.

Gary
One does not hunt in order to kill; on the contrary, one kills in order to have hunted. If one were to present the sportsman with the death of the animal as a gift he would refuse it. What he is after is having to win it, to conquer the surly brute through his own effort and skill with all the extras that this carries with it: the immersion in the countryside, the healthfulness of the exercise, the distraction from his job. ~ Jose Ortega y Gasset

It is looking like this year is going to be a wet one.
I hunt therefore I am.

SEAK, it's First Lite's heavier duty rain gear. Stands for "South East Alaska" because it's supposed to be able to handle that type of weather.
