To add insult to injury - If he lost the fight, he probably didn't get to breed the doe either

He was with a doe when I first spotted him.  I soon saw him leaving the area and he had a bigger 4x4 on his tail.   I moved to intercept them.  He showed, other buck didnt.  Never found him.

Was that before and after he lost the antler or were both sightings after?
