Some pics in the rain.
« on: May 03, 2009, 10:34:04 PM »
Went out to do some hiking and scouting yesterday.  Got stuck 4 miles behind a gate in a massive thunder storm.  50 mile an hour gusts, monsoon rains and lots of thunder.  Only lasted about an hour but I was soaked to the bone.  Took these pictures on the way back to the truck.  I think they turned out pretty good for $200 point and click digital.  Pretty miserable day but I alway have a good time in the woods.  Tough guys can take pictures of flowers and still be cool right?   :chuckle:

This is a beaver pond.  This last summer it was abandoned but looks like a new beaver moved in.

This is a trillium.  The home I grew up in had tons of these but I hadnt seen any in years.  This one was up on a rocky cliff face about 12 feet up.  I climbed up and took some pics of it.  Kinda neat sitting up there all by itself in the mossy rocks.

I was wondering what those flowers were...I saw a few out hunting.

Nice to see the beaver return. They're cool animals.
