Black-Tailed Deer Tooth Aging
« on: November 11, 2021, 04:48:14 PM »
Did anyone submit a blacktail tooth from their 2020 buck? Well it doesn't appear we'll be getting results...
A few months ago my 2020 deer info (except age) was logged under my WILD ID account so I knew the results were close. Checked today and the 2020 info was gone! I did some searching on the WDFW site and was bummed to read the project was discontinued. Where’s my tooth!?!?! I’d be interested to know if anyone has any inside to why the project was killed. I always looked forward to getting my buck age back year after year.

I have been wondering same thing. 2020 was largest bodied blacktail I have ever shot. Was really looking forward to finding out his age

That’s either a really old buck or he got into some meth! I got some over 8 that are not even close to that far gone. What did his molars look like?

I contacted a local wdfw office a couple weeks ago to have them send me some envelopes for deer tooth aging and they sent them to me with no issue. They didnt mention anything about this.

Really curious about the age of this deer. Never seen teeth like that! I guess he could be a sugar hound. To many black berries? 😂
