What lens do you use for your shots. I feel like I can never get close enough with mine for these kinds of pictures.

Pretty much. I don’t need to draw a tag. It’s more challenging.  It’s a lot harder to take a good photo of an animal than it is to kill it.   Many times it’s harder to sneak in with a bulky camera than a long bow.  I’ve got to hunt places I’ve always wanted to but will never get to, such as this year I went down to the Henry’s and the Book  Cliffs.  I have more antlers than place to put them, so I don’t really need more, and with a camera I can shoot as many deer as I want.
