Barely legal?
« on: November 12, 2021, 05:04:28 PM »
So if I read the rules correctly, as long as the eye guard is a inch long he’s legal?

Looks like the one hanging in Packwood. He's made it so far. Lots of interested hunters checking him out. Legal ??

Really? Why not use your tag on something you can be proud of?
You'll never get a Big'un if you keep shooting Little'un's.

Can't eat the horns. I would be very proud to see those packages of steak in the freezer.

I’m pretty sure that’s legal, I think the rules changed a few years ago. The regs should tell you

Well the one in Packwood stays pretty much in town. No Shooting zone.
Hey at least the hunters driving thru can say they saw 20 elk that day.

3 points is 3 points. No matter where they are located as long as it is 3 points on one antler side. And at least 1 inch long. The rules are highlighted in blue this year with that change.
Maturity is when you have the power to destroy someone who did you wrong but instead you breathe, walk away, and let life take care of them.

3-point Antler Restrictions: Legal bull elk must have at least 3 antler points on one side. Eye guards are antler points when they are at least one inch long.

Antler  Point-Elk:  A projection off any part of the antler measuring at least one (1) inch in length measured from the longest side. Eye guards are antler points if they are at least one inch long.
Nature. It's cheaper than therapy.
