I’m glad I took your guys’ advice. The breeder doesn’t think he’s doing another litter this year, so if I don’t get it, no dog that knows the hunting routing until 2024. So I’m headed over there to pick her up on Friday. She won’t be Maggie, but it’ll be fun to see what she becomes.

sent a pm, but don't see it. hope new dog works out. however, if you are interested in another dog [shorthair], let me know. I know of a litter that should be here in couple months if all goes well. good luck. jackson PM works best

I don’t see it in there. In a couple years I might be looking for a pointing breed. In the meantime this lab will keep me pretty busy I think.

You never "Replace" them...but a new dog was what I needed when I lost my Abbey. After 7 years, I think of her and smile instead of crying...she is legendary to me. My little girl (now 7) Cedar is as much of part of our family as Abbey. Different? Yes...but just like Abbey, I can't even imagine life without her. Enjoy the new pup, resist comparing and just know that your love will transfer to an wonderful, new member of your family. Post pictures for those of us that love the journey.
Cheers

You’re right about that. I’ll have to keep reminding myself not to compare them.
