Tanner or Kelp Crab ??
« on: November 21, 2021, 05:50:06 PM »

I was crabbing yesterday at the Edmonds Pier.
I caught this crazy / cool looking crab.
When I first seen it I said it was a Tanner Crab, a guy said it was a kelp and another guy said Spider crab.
All three names could be the same thing for all I know.
First one like this I ever caught or a matter of fact: seen.
Nice looking underside for colors.

Anyone know what it is for sure.  What do you say?

I call that the kelp crab.  The similar but smaller golden colored one is the spider crab.
