Didn't get the Elk tag I wanted so what the hell, might as well chase Deer. It's a ridiculous system but honestly still better than a draw I think? it would be really tough if you had a few buddies and were trying to go in as a group.

It's basically already an unorganized draw. You login before 9 am and are assigned a random number. I would rather just have an organized draw. Less stress and won't interfere with work.

It needs to go to a draw. Current system is effed. I was number 25000 and change!  Barely got a tag. 3 left when i checked out.
Dad and brothers got screwed. Sold out by the time they got in. 
At least in a draw we can apply as a group

 I got on at 8:30... waited for my number, pulled 11,587... waited 3 more hours, got kicked off, freaked my ass out, logged back on and go one of  my tags... what a roller coaster

Earlier today I was like 12k in line but didn't stick around to wait it out...

I feel lucky. I was 2000’s and my wife 4000’s. Still didnt get our first picks. But got elk and deer for me and a deer tag for my wife.

I was number 3100 and my buddy was 4800.  We got the rifle elk hunt in units 33-36.   Christmas came early!!!

I got the deer tag I wanted. I was 5788 when I logged in at 8:30. A buddy logged in 1 minute later and was at 8800. I don’t think it’s a random number. It’s in order when you show up.

Lots of the deer tags are sold out so don't wait if you are wanting tags.

I logged in about 8:45 this morning. At 9am I was assigned #228. Can't really complain and got the tags I wanted.

Logged in at 8:35am, got #17,620.  Finally got in at around 1:35pm, was really worried when I had to re-enter my log in info but let me right in, and got my 2nd not as demand deer tag, was really hoping for a better number compared to get errors last year. 

We got to remember we are non-residents, from the states prospective this gets all the tags sold!  I kinda like the system, let’s me know early and I can then plan other hunts around it.
If it went draw, won’t know till end of June, if drawn one year wait then.  Just my 2 cents

It’s complete madness but makes for a fun few hours. The numbers are random. We had 5 people in our group, all logged on roughly the same time. We had 900, 1500, 5100, 8200(me) and 10k. We all got the unit we we were after but it was a little stressful. I like it only because I’ve gotten the tag I was after. If I didn’t, I’d be complaining for a day too! I do have a handful of other units I would have gone after as well, they all seemed to have a few tags left so I wouldn’t have been too upset not drawing our primary unit

I logged in at about 8:40am and was number 10176. Stayed logged in until the three elk tags I wanted were sold out and said screw it. What a joke Idaho has become.

Logged in at 8:30 at 9:00 I was assigned #100 I was done by 9:03 Last year I got #8,000 something and took 4 hrs.
