It was very much random and on the up and up Would you prefer it done this way in the future? In my mind, it could be done a lot cleaner and with less headache if it went to a draw but I don't have any skin in the game since I don't hunt Idaho. More just curious after back to back years of what sounds like a chit show.

Little bit of sweat and persistence and tags can always be had. Last year I got a deer tag on Dec 1, then tried like hell every return tag sale and finally snagged an elk tag I was interested in during the July sale. Then aug I snagged a second deer tag. I trained to get tags in idahos system. All auto fill data was inputted. I made dozens of dry runs through the system from log in steps, where things were located on the main page, to checkout steps. I could go through the whole process of buying a tag in under a minute as long as the website somewhat behaved.. Like ammo, gone are the days of casually getting things. A guy can sit around and sulk or he can make something a priority and take the steps to make that priority come to fruition [/quoteGREAT ADVICE! So much I need to change to be successful in the new reality
